Zoomiiz - I'll be your spark (1982)

b/w - photograph

Well, I know even less about this 45 than yesterday's post (except the date is correct)

The A-side is a sort of glam/powerpop tune whereas the b-side is more in the early 70's pop/rock vein.

It will probably not be liked by most of you (not that it matters, as some will!) but it deserves to be heard again.

  4. They sound remarkably like the Shivvers. The vocalist is a dead-ringer for Jill Kossoris.

    Very nice post.

  5. I believe these were a Dutch band originally called 'Spider' until the English boogie band of the same name threatened them with legal action.

  6. Not sure if my posts are showing, The Zoomiiz were English, not Dutch. Some of us were in the Spiders first, but they were very different bands, we didn't change our name because of Spider although that got us both some publicity, they didn't threaten us with legal action :)

    1. Thanks for the info Marcia - It's much appreciated. Could you possibly give me some surnames & the instuments they played. (LDK gave your forenames above)
I guess this was the spiders that released Mony Mony on Red Records. So maybe Debbie Sanders?
