I've just noticed that GFT has posted the 1st 45 by this Dutch (Amsterdam) band & is after a copy (hope an mp3 will surfice for a while!)

Cool glam/New wave sounds with more than a hint of Jonathan Richman's "Roadrunner" [or is that just my ears?]

The songs were penned by Jerry Putter (Voc) & Jhon Weeder.(typo on the label?)
I guess this is the same Jerry Putter who was earlier in The cool glam/powerpop band Melody (to my eyes it looks like the same band*) & later in Blackout

*so again as a guess I would say the Bass Guitarist could have been Ed Evers (ex- Rain)

Cool Powerpop on the A-side with a more XTC orientated B-side.

Even though this is a Dutch only release (Top Hole Records - June 1982) the band were from the UK (Chailey, East Sussex)

Produced by Doug Siviter & Phil Siviter (If you do one thing today follow this link) the brothers are infamous for giving us the earlist recorded output from Bruce Dickinson (1977) & for being the brains behind The Shots 

 Later

After The Visions, Steve Reeve and Charley Foley along with Mick Neaves (Drums) became LAT - (releasing 2 tracks on the VA LP Tracks On The Green). Steve was also a member of "Over Seven Foot Long Soul Band" & more recently The Koan Brothers

The band apparently gets a brief mention in "International Discography Of The New Wave Vol. 2"

Catchy as hell A-side from the pen of Claude Taylor - I warn you, once heard not forgotten!

It's hard to describe but I'd say a Bubblegum / Glam / New Wave Pub Rocker, which should cover it!

It's released on the Belgium / Holland label Lark

I can't tell you anything about the band except (I'm guessing here) that they were probably brought together for this release by Bobby Patrick & at least one of them is from our fair Isles.

The production (Tommy Boyce) / engineering (Phil Chapman) team are also of a decent calibre, with the tracks being licenced from Interworld Music Ltd (set up by John Velasco for the British end of the publishing house Bertelsmann Group (BMG), in 1977)

The B-side is an "Essex Boy" version of the (also 1979 released) USA Couchois Album track

Useless information -  Boyce & Chapman had earlier been the backroom boys for the Autographs 45

Nice 45 from the Dutch band that had already given us this (albeit with an almost completely different line up - the band ran from 1978 -85)

For the recording of "Sound of the 60's" Diesel were really a trio, utilizing André's bass and Ronald's drums with Mark singing & playing all the guitars, there's also a bit of synth in there too. It was recorded at Rosegarden Studio in Utrecht and engineered by Paul Post.
Jan wrote & sang on"Workin' man" which was recorded at the Stable Studio in Arnhem and engineered by Roel Toering.

Great powerpop on the 1st track but the other 3 are just good rock tunes.

I've put this down as Dutch but the band was one of many for Canadian born & Californian living Neil Merryweather (voc bass) who was living, working (producing acts for Dureco Records) in Amsterdam at the time.
The story goes that he was friends with Cees Wessels (head of Dutch RCA Records) who wanted him to record some follow up tracks in the same vein as one of his earlier bands (Space Rangers) So he was signed to RCA & brought Michael Willis (guitar, voc also ex Space Rangers) over from Los Angeles. They then augmented the line up with drummer Cees Meerman from Herman Broods Wild Romance & Ken Spence (sax & Rhythm guitar) from Nina Hagen’s band.
In the middle of winter '79, the band left for Northern Holland to record an album “Radical Genes” at the Spitzbergen Studios. All 4 of these tracks are lifted from it.
Once the LP was finished Cees was replaced by Belgian drummer Rogier Wollaert & the band toured the record at small town venues around Amsterdam.
The band folded, as Willis returned to California.

RollerCoaster - Love Of The Loved (1980)

Great Beatle-esque powerpop from this Utrecht area Band.

Tim Rijken (drums) later in The Few

The Stuiver brothers started the band in '77 along with drummer Ronald Visser & a 4th member who tragically died in '78. The band laid dormant until '79 when Hager & Rijen joined. This 45 being released in Feb 1980 (A cover of The Beatles' then-unreleased "Love Of The Loved" financed by the Beatles Unlimited magazine in a print run of 500 numbered copies).
On the strength of this recording they were offered a recording deal by Torso Records (same label as the Rousers) for which there are 4 recorded (June 1980) but unreleased tracks gathering dust on a shelf somewhere.
(The Tracks are Can't Stop / So You're Sorry / Night Of Romance / Come On Home)
The reason they are unreleased was due to an internal argument over another possible deal (Bert Vegter -manager of Teaser and Turbo - was starting his own record label, Pure Gold Records)
This disagreement ultimately led to Henk Hager leaving to start his own band "The Cast" & being replaced by Erik Compeer who is name checked on their 2nd & Final 45
(You Should) Forget That Girl / Come On home (1981 - Pure Gold records).
He apparently never played on the 45 & only lasted a few weeks before being replaced by Peter Alberts (also ex 909)
The Band split in November 1981 when Rijken & Alberts formed "The Few" with ex Rousers Bassist Rob Marienus.

Here is the 2nd time Rory Moon tried for fame & fortune with this beatlesque powerpopper.

(it was originally released in Holland, Germany & Belgium on EMI in 1977, where he was joined by the Silver Stars)

Nice Powerpop from this Dutch (Hilversum) band - It's their only release under this name but they had a couple of 45's & an LP under an earlier incarnation Rotjoch .
The 1st 45 is here & the LP here but I couldn't find their 2nd posted any where (so I may post it soon)

The sleeve shown is from the 2nd time this was issued - there are also scans of the 1st issue in the download (they're both on the Vogue subsidiary label VIP & appear to have been issued only a few months apart - anyone know why?)

The band (1978 - '85) were
