Just another site that's giving you hard to find music

A Place To Find Some Rarer Tunes (Mod, PowerPop, Punk, Ska) ripped from my vinyl collection. If it sounds good I'll post it. The idea being that now you know about them, you can seek them out! If anyone is unhappy about any of these posts please contact me & I will take them off.

Refugee - I'm Not Like You (1981)

b/w - When I Was young

Great slice of Mod /punk on the A-side & not a bad track on the flip either.

Penned by M. McRae & produced / arranged by Richard Rushford.

According to Music master it was released in October & was their only vinyl offering.

  3. Southampton area band..i was at school with someone who's dad was the drummer for this band, as far as I recall they were considered a hard rock band with that type of following.. but I guess they had moved with the times here or this is a different band(although not many bands came from Bursledon in 1980 so I think these are the same group!)

    1. You’re right. I was the bass player. We had become a three piece band by that time and wrote more modern songs for that era.

  7. I was the bass player and co-wrote the songs although I was not credited for it. Quite a row with producer about it.
