Just another site that's giving you hard to find music

A Place To Find Some Rarer Tunes (Mod, PowerPop, Punk, Ska) ripped from my vinyl collection. If it sounds good I'll post it. The idea being that now you know about them, you can seek them out! If anyone is unhappy about any of these posts please contact me & I will take them off.

The Warm - Floosie EP (1978)

A1 - Floosie
A2 - Bye Bye It's The blues
B1 - Chewing Gum Sue
B2 - Sometimes

I was asked a while back to post some Warm & as I only have this (their 3rd release) & their version of the Kinks "Tired of waiting for you" (5th, 45) you're getting this!

Very D.I.Y but I like it!

Warm were a trio comprising of 2 Portuguese brothers & a west Indian
Rui De Castro Guimaraes AKA Rui Castrator (voc guitar)
George De Castro Guimaraes AKA George Castrator (drums voc guitar)
Leo Pennant AKA Leo Penn or Jah Shumba (bass voc)

It seems that George took a back seat for this recording, letting the other 2 take control

  1. Quick off the mark, them Warms. Before the Desperate Bicycles, before "Spiral Scratch", and even described as 'punk rock' in a Sounds review, May 1976. Fair play.

  3. I wasn't going to bother with one as I mainly focus on UK 77-81 (would this be classified as UK?), until I read Steve's comment. I thought I'd give it a try and love it. Now I want to hear their other tracks.

    Anyone?

  4. They were all living/(working?) in London at the time & it's a UK pressing so I'd say "Yes" to being a UK record
